Dr Thomas Hollingsworth

Consultant Gastroenterologist

Dr Thomas Hollingsworth is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Clinical Lead for the Gastroenterology Department at University Hospital Southampton. He specialises in neurogastroenterology, functional gastrointestinal disorders, clinical nutrition, and intestinal failure.
Dr Hollingsworth cares for patients with motility and functional bowel disorders and is one of the four consultants leading Southampton’s regional nutrition and intestinal failure service. He is experienced in upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy and in the placement of feeding tubes such as PEG and jejunal tubes. He also holds bowel scope accreditation and completed a specialist endoscopy fellowship.
He is a member of the BSG Neurogastroenterology and Clinical Services and Standards Committee and contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
