Mr Thomas Dudding
Consultant Colorectal and Pelvic Floor Surgeon

Mr Thomas Dudding is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at University Hospital Southampton, specialising in colorectal cancer, pelvic floor disorders, and functional bowel conditions. He is a recognised international expert in bowel control and neuromodulation therapies.
He trained at University College London and completed specialist fellowships at St Mark’s Hospital in London and Aarhus University Hospital in Denmark. He was appointed as a Consultant in 2012.
Mr Dudding performs laparoscopic colorectal and pelvic floor surgery, colonoscopy, and emergency procedures. He leads the regional pelvic mesh review service and serves as Clinical Effectiveness Lead for surgery.
He is a key figure in neuromodulation, serving on the executive committees of the Neuromodulation Society of the UK & Ireland and The Pelvic Floor Society. He also directs European training courses in advanced neuromodulation techniques.
Mr Dudding is actively involved in training medical students, surgical trainees, and fellow consultants, both nationally and internationally.
