Dr Timothy Bryant is a Consultant Radiologist at University Hospital Southampton and Spire Hospital Southampton, with expertise in abdominal and interventional radiology. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive procedures for both benign and malignant conditions.
Dr Bryant graduated from Nottingham University in 1999 and completed radiology training in Wessex, including fellowships in interventional and uro-radiology. He was
appointed as a Consultant in 2009.
His clinical work includes embolisation techniques for uterine fibroids (UFE), prostate enlargement (PAE), varicoceles, and cancer treatments such as TACE for liver
tumours. He also performs advanced image-guided procedures for kidney stones (PCNL), blocked bile ducts (PTC), and portal hypertension (TIPSS). He is an expert
in abdominal imaging using CT, MRI, and ultrasound.
Dr Bryant has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in clinical trials, national guideline development, and training hospitals in new
interventional techniques. He has held multiple national education leadership roles and is known for his clear, compassionate communication with patients.
Outside medicine, he enjoys cooking, cycling, golf, and spending time with his family.
